The Xiaomi Mi 9 is the next top of the range smartphone to be presented by the Chinese giant. Earlier rumors suggested an unveiling at MWC 2019 Barcelona. However, it seems that the manufacturer is now launching the Mi 9 much earlier, anticipating the MWC. The leak also confirms the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The news came from the Chinese social network Weibo where a teaser got viral indicating the new Xiaomi has a fingerprint sensor built in the screen instead of being mounted on the back. In addition, the image also mentions the launch to be held in February. Unfortunately, it does not confirm the exact date of the event.

According to the earlier rumors, Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to arrive with a 6.4 "AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution and 19: 9 aspect ratio. The handset will come packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, backed by at least 6GB of RAM. On the rear, we will have a triple camera, consisting of a main 48 megapixels Sony IMX 586 sensor, a 12MP secondary lens, and a TOF (Time of Flight) camera.

There will be a 24-megapixel camera on the front with Sony IMX576 sensor, dedicated for selfies. Finally, the successor of Xiaomi Mi 8 is also expected to come with a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support (QuickCharge 4.0 up to 32W). The leaks also suggest the Mi 9's top variant to be priced around 3,000 Chinese Yuan which roughly translates to 63,000 Pakistani Rupees (without taxes).
