There is more than one device in the Xiaomi 18 series. But all the coverage and headlines have been about the Xiaomi 18 Pro so far. Today, however, we’ve found a Geekbench listing for the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, which should be the bigger sibling of the two in size and price.
It didn’t give any names. Geekbench entry actually referred us to the Xiaomi model M610BB. Other publications have been calling this device the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, so that must be its real title. By the way, the same model also made a cameo on the 3C certification a few weeks back.
You can tell by the model code that this is probably the China-only version. That’s where the phones are supposed to debut initially anyway. Geekbench listing’s CPU info section had one detail that desperately needed a fact check. We finally know what chipset they’ve put inside the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.
SoC model shown in the file is the QTI SM8950, which we normally call a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Yes, this is a Pro version of the chip, and it’s a little faster than the other trim. The boost clock speed is 5.01 GHz on the main two cores of the CPU.
Xiaomi new 18 mobile would put that chip onboard with at least 16GB RAM. It has eight cores to work with. The base chipset speed is 3.74 GHz. This info is plenty to gauge what kind of performance we’ll see out of this newcomer. The test is presumably taken on a prototype. So don’t take these results to heart.
Geekbench tested the single-core yield from this chip. And the phone actually managed to crank out 2831 points there. And multicore results were even better at 8843 points. The good news is that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is built around Android 17 HyperOS 4 by default.
3C had clues about the charging. The supported power adapter seems to output 5V 3A (15W) minimum, and up to 20V at 5A (100W). The 18 Pro Max has also been registered at SRRC, by the way. It does have Ultra Wideband (UWB) support and N79 5G bands for 5G carriers. Keep watching the news for more updates.
