Xiaomi 14 Ultra to Launch Under the Authority of William Lu, the Newly Appointed GM

Xiaomi is gearing up for an exciting chapter under the authority of its newly appointed General Manager, William Lu. The company CEO Lei Jun recently announced the change in leadership, revealing that William Lu will not only be at the helm of the company but will also be taking the spotlight for the unveiling of Xiaomi 14 Ultra.


In a recent tweet, Lei Jun shared that the Xiaomi SU7 is undergoing nationwide road tests, hinting at its imminent domestic launch. As he plunges into the electric vehicle business, William Lu has been appointed to lead Xiaomi's smartphone division.

William Lu himself confirmed his role in a tweet, expressing his excitement about the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The premium-grade handset has been making waves with certifications on platforms like TUV Rheinland and IMDA.

 

A recent GeekBench sighting spilled the beans on its synthetic benchmark scores and some key specs, revealing that the Xiaomi Ultra's latest model will draw power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16GB of RAM. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra promises more than just powerful internals. 

It will use the latest Android 14 OS and boast an impressive 80W wireless fast charging feature, according to insights from known tipster Digital Chat Station. Rumors suggest a satellite connectivity feature; meanwhile, a 3C certification hints at a wireless portable Camera Kit in the works.
