The Xiaomi 14 Ultra might be hitting the shelves this month. According to the latest break from a reliable tipster at Weibo, the oncoming flagship device will likely showcase an enormous camera setup housed within a familiar design, promising a mix of old and new specs.

The grapevine hints at a remarkable f/1.63 aperture with MI 14 Ultra, adding a layer of excitement to its potential imaging capabilities. And if the leaks hold, eager fans might get their hands on this device by the end of February, aligning perfectly with the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona.

Xiaomi has already teased its participation in the conference, hinting at the unveiling of not just the 14 Ultra but also the international launch of the 14 and 14 Pro models. Additionally, whispers in the tech community suggest the possible reveal of Xiaomi's SU7 Electric car.

Moving back to the topic, one of the standout features of Xiaomi's new Ultra model is the long-rumored variable aperture, a two-stop lens seamlessly switching between f/1.6 and f/4.0. It aligns with the approach taken by the 14 and 14 Pro models, boasting variable f/1.4-4.0 solution.

The camera setup is said to incorporate an LYT-900 sensor, a 1"-type latest platform developed by Sony. Excitingly, Xiaomi has also certified a camera kit for the 14 Ultra reminiscent of its predecessor. However, this time around, the kit will serve a dual purpose, acting as an external battery pack while improving the camera experience.

Before claiming anything, we await the official announcement this month at the MWC, where the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is poised to make a grand appearance. The newcomer will surely leave a mark with its camera technology and timeless design.
