The Chinese manufacturer officially announces the launch date for its much-anticipated flagship, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Accompanying the announcement are high-resolution renders, giving prospective buyers an early preview of the phone's design and camera system.

The rendered mockups depart from the norm, featuring a flat OLED display instead of the curved-edge screens commonly found in premium devices. This practical design choice emphasizes functionality and content visibility, a potential draw for users who prioritize user experience.

Although the renders suggest a standard aluminum alloy frame, the possibility of a special edition with a titanium frame remains open. Intriguing details emerge regarding the advanced camera system. Contrary to previous speculation, the renders confirm a single periscope lens, offering 3.2x and 5x optical zoom.

While specific configurations remain undisclosed, an inscription on the camera block hints at a potential 10x optical zoom, possibly achieved through software enhancement or sensor cropping. Rumors further suggest a high-end 50MP Sony LYT900 sensor as the main attraction of the latest Xiaomi Ultra smartphone.

Adding to the excitement, Xiaomi has already opened pre-orders for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in China, offering early adopters attractive bonuses and the chance to participate in a draw for valuable prizes. These incentives will draw massive crowds in China.

Despite the lack of official pricing and detailed specifications, blind pre-orders show how much trust consumers have in Xiaomi’s products. The official launch scheduled for February 25th promises to unveil the remaining details, providing a comprehensive overview of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra's hardware. So stay tuned for more.
