Vivo Y28 5G Unveils Basic Specifications on Google Play Console; Launch Imminent

Succeeding the highly-praised Y27 products by Vivo, the much-anticipated Vivo Y28 5G is on its way to the global stage. It has already made a splashy entrance on the Google Play Console listing, giving us clues into what it has in store for its users.


The Google Play Console certification spills the beans on the Vivo Y28 5G’s model number V2315. A render of the phone showcases a sleek waterdrop notch and a substantial bottom chin, while the back panel boasts a stylish dual-tone design with two camera rings.

Under the hood, the phone is set to impress with a MediaTek MT6833 processor, featuring two Cortex-A76 cores clocking at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 2GHz. It also includes a Mali G57 GPU, aligning with MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 SoC configuration. 


With 4GB of RAM onboard, the Vivo Y28 5G should offer smooth performance. For the visuals, the smartphone is to deliver a display resolution of 720 x 1,612 pixels and a 300 DPI screen density. Running on the latest Android 13 OS straight out of the box, the latest Vivo budget 5G mobile promises entry-level specifications.


In related news, the leaked marketing material spills Vivo Y28’s color options – Crystal Purple and Glitter Aqua. Price-wise, the 4GB + 128GB variant is rumored to hit the market at ~$168 (~PKR 60,000). Enhanced storage options with 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB may cost customers between $192 (~PKR 54,000) and $204 (~PKR 57,000), respectively.
