Vivo Y21 is a brand new budget phone that debuted in Asia this week. But Vivo is also working on another Y21 edition. The upcoming Vivo Y21s is already being certified, suggesting the phone is set to launch soon. Let’s take a look.

Most recently, the Vivo Y20s successor featured on the public database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC.) It’s listed under the model number ‘V2110.’ Global Certification Forum (GCF) has signed off on the same device this month. Also, Geekbench benchmarked the Vivo Y21s.

Together, the documentations give us the specification sheet for the Vivo Y21s. At 180g of weight and 8mm of depth, the Y21s has slim, lightweight dimensions. The frame houses a USB-C interface and a 3.5mm audio jack. It’s all powered by a 4910 mAh battery, presumably with quick-charging support.

Vivo Y21s has the MediaTek Helio G80 at its heart, running on the Android 11-based FunTouchOS. You get 4GB of memory with extended virtual RAM for smoother multitasking. We expect it to ship in 64GB/128GB storage options.

The Vivo's new model phone 2021 aka the Y21s is a refreshed Y21 (that runs on Helio P35) with a more powerful chipset. Based on this specification sheet, the design and build should remain unchanged too. The screen would be a 6.5” IPS LCD with a notch bleeding into it. And the dual rear camera should feature a 13MP wide lens and a 2MP portrait sensor.
