Vivo Y20s and Vivo Y1s Price Raised in Pakistan; Budget Duo Becomes Less Affordable

Because of the ongoing devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the USD, the price hike of smartphones continues. Most recently, Vivo raised the price of two budget phones. The value-friendly Vivo Y1s and Vivo Y20s just became a little less affordable.

Vivo Y1s

Vivo Y1s is among the most entry-level phones on the Vivo Pakistan catalog. It’s priced at Rs. 18,999 instead of Rs. 16,999, making for an Rs. 2000 hike. Featuring a sleek, slim, and minimalist design, the Y1s comes in Olive Black and Aurora Blue.


It has two cameras onboard — one 5MP camera on the front and a 13MP camera on the back. The rear camera is embedded right into the curved backplate without a dedicated bump. The Y1s screen is a 6.52” 720P panel with a notch bleeding into it. The device lacks a fingerprint scanner. For biometric security, you only have the Face Access feature. 

The MediaTek Helio P35 and a 4030 mAh battery power the Vivo Y1s. You get 2GB of memory and 32GB of internal storage. FuntouchOS (built on the old-gen Android 10) runs on the hardware.

Vivo Y20s

Vivo Y20s started at Rs. 29,999, but it’s now available for Rs. 30,999, upping the price by Rs. 1000. The phone has a sunburst finish on its plastic shell. You can pick from Obsidian Black and Purist Blue.  


It’s a 2.5D body with a side-facing thumbprint reader. Three lenses and an LED flash are housed inside a raised camera platform. It’s a cluster of 13MP wide and two 2MP lenses.


Vivo Y20s can shoot in portrait and super macro modes. Flip the phone over to find a 6.51” IPS LCD with a notch. It delivers a 720P resolution and fills a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Inside the Vivo Y20s, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 does all the processing. It works with 4GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card. Everything runs on a 5000 mAh battery and 18W flash charge technology.
