With the Vivo V25 series launched in Pakistan, the chain is now transitioning its effort to unveil Vivo Y16 in the local market. The device is entry-tier and provides excellent value for a budget price. An internal source pointed out that Y16 will set foot into our market this month, likely by 20th January. The launch is fast approaching. Here's what to expect from this device.

With a slab-like design, Vivo Y16 has vertical-edged sides on its frosted colors, Drizzling Gold and Stellar Black. The glossy finish around the camera plates complements both colorways. With minimal protrusion, two camera silos pop out of the shell directly (no camera island).

As for the Vivo Y16's display, the phone holds a large 6.51-inch IPS panel with a v notch that melts into the screen. As for the bezels, they give the new phone an 82% screen-to-body ratio with 270 PPI on 720p resolution. The screen has 2.5D glass smoothening the edges of the screen.

In core stats, users will find Vivo Y16 with 4GB + 64GB memory configuration and MediaTek Helio P35 SoC running at 2.3GHz max frequency. It will serve up to 4GB of additional virtual memory borrowed from the storage. The new Vivo 4G mobile brings an Android 12 experience by default and a side-facing biometric.

The camera situation on this mobile is bleak. It offers an ordinary 5MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 for self-portraits, a 13 MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 for wide shots on the back, and an auxiliary 2 MP macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 for macro shots.

Y16 records 1080p videos at 30FPS. With a 5000mAh battery under its shell, it uses a 10W plug to recharge. Its price in Pakistan is expected to be around 44,000 PKR. In 2022, the Y22 was the final Y-series phone to reach Pakistan. The Vivo Y22's launch price was initially set at Rs. 47,999 but was later raised to Rs. 49,999.
