It's priced slightly above the entry-level devices and below the mid-range ones. Vivo Y16 has been on the global launch roster since September. Almost at the end of its release cycle, the phone has finally landed in Pakistan. Here's a rundown of Y16's specifics.

Starting with Y16's display: It has a sizable screen at the 6.51-inch diagonal measurement with a slightly intrusive V-notch. While it looks dazzling with 2.5D curvature, the screen's visual quality won't be sharp. It limits the resolution to 720p and the refresh rate to 60Hz.

With its slab-like form factor and two vibrant shades known as Drizzling Gold and Stellar Black, Vivo Y16 flaunts a striking design. Its camera module encompasses two large lenses on a glossed accent. Vivo branding on the Gold option looks particularly astounding.

For cameras, The manufacturer endows this phone with a 13 MP f/2.2 (wide) primary sensor, an auxiliary 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) unit, and an LED flash at a mid-range Vivo phone price. Considering the price of this product, the sensor configuration is less than ideal. There's a 5MP sensor up front for selfies, and all cameras have recording ability capped at 1080p 30FPS.

Its core specifications are mediocre; MTK Helio P35 SoC inside has four cores at 2.3GHz and four at 1.8GHz. Its Pakistani variant comes with 4GB-64GB RAM and storage. Since the RAM's low capacity, Vivo adds up to 4GB of Virtual memory to keep multiple apps open simultaneously in the background.

Vivo Y16 holds a 5000mAh cell, Android 12 OS, and a side-mounted biometric for security. The model landed in Pakistan only brings 4+64GB pairing. Vivo Dealers are wholesaling it for Rs. 48200, and retailers are selling it for Rs. 49,999. Despite having lowered specs, the new handset is only Rs. 5,000 cheaper than the Vivo Y22's new retail price.
