Back-to-back smartphone launches undoubtedly help Vivo stay in the spotlight, and they know it. It's only been a few days since the global unveil of V25 | V25 Pro, and the brand is already primed and ready for another reveal. The upcoming device is Vivo Y15C's Successor, labeled Y16, and is next in line for an official debut.
Freshly leaked real-life pictures and videos of Vivo Y16 are causing a major stir on the internet as we speak. In addition to the usual hands-on POV of the handset, this leak also exposed its official retail box. That seals the deal; store shelves are the next stop for Y16.
The Y16 slab has some highlights worth pointing out. The first thing you notice right off the bat is its gigantic camera housing layout. A glossy accent on the back has two circular units popping out. But take these looks with a pinch of salt. The actual sensors inside are pretty small.
Allegedly, pair of 13MP primary and 2MP assistive sensors reside inside the camera module of Y16. The pictures of the new Vivo Y mobile only show the back of the phone in golden color, but there will also be a black color shade. Here's a list of its rumored internal contents.
Start things off with the brain on Y16, which is the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. It powers up using a 5000mAh cell rated for 10W charging speed. It will offer 4GB RAM configured with 128GB or 64GB ROM. There's a 6.51-inch 2.5D IPS screen upfront with Vivo's iconic V-notch to hide the selfie camera (5MP).
The upcoming Y16 phone will probably feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The bottom layout includes a Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a speaker grill. Seeing the size of the retail box, it's probably packing a manufacturer provide charger brick. The handset is expected to cost around 50,000 PKR.
