Vivo Y100 GT Emerges on Google Play Console Flaunting 12GB RAM & Dimensity 8200 SoC

We are observing a change of pace in Vivo’s upcoming smartphone additions. Another peculiar name by the company, the Vivo Y100 GT, hits the Google Play Console certification website. It offers a quick overview of the device's specifications, hinting at a possible mid-range offering.


The Y100 GT, identified by model number PD2314, teases an enticing design with a curved display adorned by slender bezels and a central punch-hole cutout. The visor will feature 1080 x 2388 pixels resolution, delivering crisp details with a screen density of 480 dpi.

Under the hood, the Y100 GT will mount a MediaTek MT6896 processor, sporting an impressive configuration. With a Cortex A78 core clocked at 3.1 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 3 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 2 GHz, it will compete with high-end smartphones. 


The presence of a Mali-G610 GPU suggests the likelihood of a Dimensity 8200 chipset. The certification listing also confirms 12GB RAM. Running on the latest Android 13 OS out of the box, the latest 5G Vivo mobile ensures a contemporary and feature-rich user experience.


While the details beyond the processor and RAM configuration remain a mystery, the Y100 GT is poised to join the ranks of its Y100 series predecessors. The Y100i and Y100i Power house Dimensity 6020 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipsets, respectively, marking entry-level performance. 


Meanwhile, the Y100 5G draws power from the mid-range Snapdragon 695 SoC. The Vivo Y100 GT adds panache to the series, hauling the flagship MTK Dimensity 8200 Chip. Stay tuned for more details on the subject, later to appear in the following weeks.
