Pakistani market now has the Vivo Y05e. The phone was just deployed in our country with a single 4/64GB trim. Sales began yesterday, on August 11th. And the phone has a balanced price for what it’s carrying. The only weak point is the performance, which we’ll get to in a bit. This is everything you should know.
This is a phone with AntiDrop design. Apparently, SGS gave it a three-star drop safety rating. And it also has an IP64 water ingress rating. Minor liquid spills and splashes won’t damage this Vivo Y05e. By the way, they’ve put just an average battery on this model.
The same safety ratings and memory are found on the Realme C100i, but that phone has a huge 7000mAh battery at almost the same price. Vivo new 4G model puts a simple 5150mAh BlueVolt cell onboard. The charging is slow (15W), but you do get at least 1000 cycles until its health drops under 80%.
Now, for the bad news. 4GB RAM would cripple the background activity. Even worse is the Unisoc T7225 chipset inside Vivo Y05e, which caps the boost clock speed to 1.8 GHz. It’s not a well-known chip for performance, so it would probably struggle with the phone’s Android 16 Origin OS 6 software.
The storage will expand with its SD card slot on the SIM tray. eMMC 5.1 storage is 64GB, a chunk of which is used for 4GB virtual memory. Again, the internals are not its strong point. Vivo Y05e does have a big screen at the front.
It’s a high refresh rate 6.74” screen. They’ve put an HD+ LCD display on this newcomer, and the max refresh rate is 90Hz. There’s a notch on it, and a thick chin that might need getting used to. They’ve put a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
The rear camera is just a single unit, no decorative lenses anywhere. The main shooter is 8MP. The mono speaker boosts Audio to 200%. And then we have a side fingerprint reader. Again, the phone will retail with a single 4/64GB trim that costs Rs 39,999 in Pakistan.
