Vivo V70 Locked in for Global Launch; Clears FCC Certification, Suspected as Rebranded Vivo S50

Vivo V70 is all over the internet, making headlines. FCC has cleared this phone for the US launch. Of course, it spilled some secrets in the documentation. Every bit of detail we have seen on the internet confirms that the V70 is a global device. This is what we found on the FCC database.

The first thing it showed was the Android 16 operating system. The FunTouch OS is no more, which means the OriginOS 6 will be coming to this device. FCC had essential hardware info as well. But there’s nothing new in that category, it seems.

This is a 5G device, of course. The V70 will use WiFi 6, and there’s a built-in NFC chip and Bluetooth module. Vivo filed a V70 12/256GB variant on the FCC, but we are sure it’s only one of the options. Anyway, the FCC didn’t disclose much about the phone’s hardware. We had to look elsewhere for info.

Geekbench had already tested the device. The latest Vivo flagship mobile has 8GB RAM. Android 16 is confirmed yet again on the benchmark. This test platform showed a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 running on the new Vivo V70.

Their older V60 had the same chip, so it’s not exactly an upgrade. That’s usually what happens when a phone is replaced after six months. Vivo refreshes the V lineup biannually. Now, these specs may sound familiar to some of you because the Vivo S50 has the same setup.

The internet suspects Vivo V70 is a rebranded S50, just like the V60 was the S30 substitute for the global market. As such, the specs are no longer a secret for either device. The V70 could use the same 6.59” AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The rear camera setup could be a 50MP main and 50MP telephoto. The tertiary sensor is possibly an 8MP ultrawide lens. Another 50MP camera lies on the screen for selfies. We’ve possibly got 90W wired charging and a 6500mAh battery on this device. Vivo V70 launch date is still a secret, though. Keep watching the news for updates.‌
