Vivo V23e is the first edition of the new Vivo V23 series to debut. Its 5G alternative landed in Thailand yesterday. And the LTE version was just introduced in Vietnam.

Vivo V23e features a sleek, fashion-forward design, quick charging, and an OLED screen. Vivo has tweaked the design from last year’s Vivo phone V21e. A notch bleeds into the display and a mid-size chin flanks it.

The phone edges are flat and glossy. The backplate is finished in a satin-matte finish. You can pick from iridescent blue-pink and polished mirror black colors.

Three lenses of the new Vivo 5g mobile rest on a layered camera housing. But it’s a simple vertical layout instead of the ‘cyclops eye’ design that the brand has popularized over the past few generations. At 7.36mm of depth and 172 of weight, the Vivo V23e has a lightweight footprint.

The screen is a 6.44” AMOLED panel. It peaks at 1080P in resolution and 90.37% in screen-to-body ratio. Embedded in the phone’s camera is 50MP. The selfie lens can auto-track eyes to keep the subject in focus. Flip the phone over to meet its 64MP wide camera, the 8MP ultra-wide lens, and the 2MP macro sensor.

MediaTek Helio G96 (the chipmaker’s top-end 4G platform) powers everything. It’s hooked up to a 4050 mAh battery. The flash charging technology promises a 70% refill in under 30 minutes. You get 8GB of memory and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. FunTouchOS, built on Android 11, runs on the V23e out of the box.
