Vivo Y76s is an Upcoming Budget 5G Phone; Spec Sheet Certified in by TENAA

Vivo is soon coming out with a new series of budget-friendly 5G phones. TENNA, the Chinese telecommunication authority, has greenlit at least three new Vivo phones: V2009A, V2115A, and V2156A. The first two are a mystery, but the V2156A is supposedly launching under a Y-series title.

The IMEI database for the ‘V2156A’ lists it under the Vivo Y76s name. But a conflicting report from WHY LAB suggests it could be a rebranded Vivo Y55s (that came out in 2017.) Whatever the phone ends being marketed as the product certification also contains system specs.

Vivo Y55s (or Y76s) is a sleek, lightweight phone featuring a 7.79mm thick body that weighs 175g. The screen is 6.58” and peaks at a Full HD resolution. Unlike Vivo Y53s, it has a poor-quality TFT panel, so the viewing angles aren’t great. We find a side-facing thumbprint reader in the frame. The backplate has two lenses and an LED flash inside a squarish housing. It’s a 50MP wide and 2MP portrait lens duo. The front camera is 8MP.

Everything is powered by the Dimensity 900 (a mid-range 5G chip) and a 4005 mAh battery. No fast-charging details were specified for the upcoming addition to the Vivo price list. Android 11, presumably with the OriginOS skin, is the operating system.

Vivo V2156A features 8GB/12GB of memory and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. Rumor mill indicates the phone could launch before October ends.
