Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has just shared an image on its Facebook page teasing an imminent Launch of the Y12 smartphone in Pakistan. The handset features an AI-enabled triple Rear camera setup at the back along with a mighty 5,000mAh battery. The exact launch date is not specified but our sources tell us it's launching tomorrow, September 12th.

Just like the Vivo Y17, the Y12’s offerings are also respectable, at least in the terms of specifications. You’re looking at a 4GB/64GB configuration, in addition to a 3GB/32GB variant. But the one coming to Pakistan is the 3GB Variant with 32 gigs of internal storage.

The display on Vivo Y12 is fairly tame, even for a mid-ranged device. It isn’t FHD but the phone is rocking a 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView LCD IPS screen with a 268 PPI pixel density, and a small waterdrop notch encircling the front-facing camera.

Speaking of cameras, the Y12 is featuring a triple-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary shooter, paired with 8-megapixel+2-megapixel secondary lenses, while the front-facing camera houses an 8-megapixel sensor. The 13 and 8 MP cameras have an f/2.2 aperture, while the depth sensor boasts an f/2.4 aperture.

It’s running on a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor clocked at 2 GHz and powered by Android Pie (9.0) based FunTouch OS and a beefy 5000 mAh battery. Vivo claims that the battery should last you a whole day of heavy usage, thanks to manufacturer’s proprietary battery-saving technology. On the flip side, however, it might take a while to charge since the handset doesn’t support fast charging.

The fingerprint reader on Y12 by Vivo is rear-mounted and it also comes with a face unlock feature for added security. As for connectivity, you get dual-sim support, Bluetooth V5.00, and 3G/4G. The design is a no-nonsense plastic body with a generous screen-to-body ratio, that will be available in two colors: Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue.

Vivo Y12 is expected to come at a starting price of 27,000  PKR, but we'll have more details once the mobile gets launched tomorrow. We’ll keep you apprised, as we get our hands on more relevant information.
