Vivo S17 Pro Makes Headlines with Leaked Camera Specifications; 50MP Flagship Sensor

The upcoming Vivo S17 lineup has been the subject of extensive scrutiny by leak hunters, who have uncovered a wealth of information about the new models. They are due for release in May, expectedly in China, bearing monikers Vivo S17e, Vivo S17, and Vivo S17 Pro. In a recent break yesterday, the Pro model got leaked with full-blown camera specifications, and here's a quick overview.

According to Digital Chat Station, the S17 Pro has a leading supremacy in the camera department, boasting Sony's super spectrum 50MP (IMX766V) primary camera. The sensor has enhanced vision in low light due to a larger radius and next-level stability with hardware OIS.

The S17 Pro might as well be a camera-centric phone, as it positions itself as a top-tier device just below the company's flagship Vivo X series. Its stronger emphasis on imaging capabilities shouldn't come as a surprise. It is important to note that the tipster limited his revelation to the fact that it's an S-series device.

He didn't unravel whether it's the standard or the Pro model; however, several hints online suggest he could be talking about the latter. Alongside 50MP OIS, the new Vivo flagship mobile will sport a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait camera with center focus capabilities.

Finally, a tertiary sensor will round up the phone's camera design with an 8MP ultrawide shooter. It will not be as impressive as primary and secondary, but it will get the job done in super-lit environments.

That about wraps up the leak from DCS. His track record with leaks leads us to conclude that the leaked stats are plausible; still, to draw the final spec sheet, we must wait for the company to unravel Vivo S17 Pro's features.
