Per the official landing page of Vivo China’s website, the Vivo S15e is supposed to launch on April 25. It will (presumably) be a China-first release, as is often the case for phones from BBK brands. The official promos have highlighted a few core features already. But the rumor mill is one step ahead, bringing us the detailed specifications of the phone.

Courtesy of the phone leaker Ishan Agarwal, we learn that the new S15e is an upper mid-range phone, like the Vivo V23e. It features an impressive 6.4” AMOLED panel, peaking at 1080P resolution, 409 PPI pixel density, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Vivo has embedded a 16MP camera in the notch and a fingerprint scanner below the display.

The rear camera cluster (organized into two lens housings) contains an array of 50MP wide-angle, 13MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro shooters. You can expect the stock camera app to pack the advanced photography features we’ve expected from the S series, primarily centered around portraits.

It’s all powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1080 processor. It’s a 5nm chip, hooked up to 8GB of memory and 128GB/256GB of storage at an affordable Vivo mobile price. The ROM standard used here is the flagship-grade UFS 3.1. A 4700 mAh battery backs up the Vivo S15e, and 66W Flash Charge tech recharges it. It’s double the power offered on the last model, which should cut the charging time in half, at least on paper.

You can choose the Vivo S15e in textured peach, blue, and black colorways. And the OriginOS x Android 12 runs on the phone out of the box. We’ll learn the pricing when it drops on April 25 in China.
