With their mid-range V-series all wrapped up, Vivo is soon coming out with a new flagship lineup, the Vivo S10, and S10 Pro. Official promos are out, giving us a peek at the design and launch timeline. The S10 Pro was featured in a leaked hands-on clip and a Google certification. It’s the first Vivo to debut with a shell sensitive to UV light.

Vivo S10 Pro is listed on the Google Play Console database under the model name ‘V2121A.’ The listing includes system specs and product images. The Pro edition features slim bezels and a wide notch containing a dual front camera. Its backplate has an iridescent finish with a square camera island with a triple camera.

As per the certification, the S10 Pro has the Dimensity 1100 at its heart, powered by Android11 (possibly with OriginOS on top) and 12GB of memory. The storage goes up to 256GB and uses a lightning-fast UFS 3.1 standard. We’re looking at a 6.4” OLED panel that refreshes at 90Hz.

The optics system on the new Vivo mobile phone 2021 is led by a 108MP primary lens and a 44MP selfie camera — the second lens presumably meant for wide-angle shots. Vivo S10 Pro is backed by a 3970 mAh battery that quick-charges over 33W. The standard edition of the S10 rocks a 64MP triple camera.

Coming back to the hands-on video, the S10 Pro is seen under a UV light. Ultraviolet leaves imprints on the backplate, temporarily. It’s a neat gimmick that lets you draw on the back of the phone with UV light — which lasts for two to five minutes.

Vivo has the S10 and the S10 Pro lined up for launch later on today at a virtual event. We’ll have more details once the two phones go official.
