TECNO Spark 9T Goes Official with Helio G37 SoC, 90Hz Screen and 5,000mAh Battery

In early June, TECNO unveiled the Spark 9 Pro carrying some interesting specs for an entry-level smartphone. High points included a 90 Hz display, Helio G85 chipset, and a big 5,000 mAh battery. And now Spark 9T, a comparatively cheaper member was added to the Spark family.


The TECNO Spark 9T is an ultra-affordable device where the main attraction is a low price for what it has to offer, especially in terms of a long-lasting battery. but there is no fast charging support.

The all-new Spark 9T comes equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and retains the 90 Hz refresh rate. The front panel has a 32 MP camera in a drop-shaped notch, while the rear rocks a triple camera setup with a 13 MP primary shooter, another 2 MP depth sensor, and an AI auxiliary lens.

The TECNO Spark new model is powered by MediaTek's Helio G37 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. For power, it has a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W fast charging. In the operating system, it comes standard with Android 12 under HiOS 8.6 interface.


For now, the 9T has only been made official in Nigeria in two storage-based alternatives: 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB + 128 GB. The variants cost NGN 78,300 (~Rs. 42,000) and NGN 88,000 (~Rs. 44,000) , respectively. Do note that the Nigerian prices are on the higher side due to hefty taxes.

The handset has Atlantic Blue, Turquoise Cyan, Iris Purple, and Cocoa Gold color options. The TECNO Spark 9T will roll out to more of Africa before making its way to the Asian markets, perhaps including Pakistan.
