Tecno Spark 50 Pro Might Soon Arrive in Pakistan with IP69 Rating and Helio G100

Our sources tell us that the Tecno Spark 50 Pro might be coming to Pakistan soon, expected sometime in July. The phone is being deployed all over Asia right now, and it will reach Pakistan at some point. There’s no doubt about it. We already know this newcomer inside out. This is everything you need to know.

They might be shipping the 6000mAh Spark 50 Pro variant in Pakistan, since our market doesn’t have as many regulatory issues. The other variant trims the capacity by around 10% at 5600mAh. Either way, the charging speed will be 60W on the Spark 50 Pro.

RAM and storage price hikes have hit the industry hard, which is why we are seeing so many Chinese phones getting downgraded all of a sudden. It’s painful to see the Spark series go down the same road. If you have the Spark 40 Pro already, we recommend you stick to it.

Most of the downgrades are on the screen. You lose AMOLED. Spark 50 Pro is actually built around a 6.78” IPS LCD. The resolution has gone down to 720p from 1.5K. What’s even more revolting is the screen bezel and the chin. And yes, the 144Hz refresh rate is also gone. They dropped it to 120Hz. Here are the updated Tecno phone prices in Pakistan with complete details and features.

The newcomer’s thickness is 7.8mm, which is way higher than Spark 40 Pro’s 6.7mm chassis. They did make the Spark 50 Pro more durable this year since it now has an IP68/IP69 rating from SGS and a military-grade drop safety rating (5 stars).

It’s still using the Helio G100, so there’s no real performance gain to speak of. This chip puts a MALI G57 GPU on board. The CPU is an eight-core with a 2.2GHz boost clock. There are still dual speakers on the phone and WiFi 5GHz dual band on the Spark 50 Pro.

The main camera is 50MP, and the selfie snapper is only 8MP (vs. 13MP on the Spark 40 Pro). Since there’s no AMOLED, they had to move the fingerprint to the side. Spark 50 Pro does have the new Android 16 x HiOS 16 build by default, which may be its only saving grace. Its base price in Bangladesh is 26,999 taka. That’s ~Rs 61,000 in Pakistani currency. The local price might be in the ballpark.
