Tecno has finally started building the hype for its new Pova series. We saw a teaser video from the company recently that gave us an early peek at a “no-name” device. It seems that the brand has officially revealed its moniker for the first time through a teaser — Tecno Pova Curve 5G.
The design is eye-catching and certainly a first in the Pova series. As the name implies, this new device has a curved build, both from the front and the rear, with a display falling over the edges. Not only is it a beautiful-looking phone, but it’s also pretty slim compared to the older Pova devices.
The teaser only gives away the side profile of this device with a product title mentioned in the backdrop. The orange spot you can see on the side is said to be the power key, with a different accent to make it easier to spot. There’s a polished metallic frame in the image and a vertical camera stack on the rear side.
Sadly, the new teaser didn’t give us much to go on. But, we do have an older clip from the company that revealed the Tecno new Pova model’s camera design, encased in a glowing LED strip. That usual RGB-embellished Pova aesthetic lives on with the newcomer as well.
This is also the company’s first endeavor at making a premium phone for the Pova family, and they hit the nail on the head with this one. Pova Curve 5G is, by far, the most interesting model we’ve seen in the Pova line. There’s little to no info about the phone’s specs on the internet. But, we did find its storage variety.
The higher-end option for Pova Curve will be an 8 GB + 256 GB combo, which means it will still be positioned in the budget category. We’ll see a second option with 8 GB and 128 GB RAM. And the worst one among those will be a 6 GB + 128 GB trim, the least costing variant of all.
This year’s Pova series is meant to have several more devices, and they are intended for different segments with the base Tecno Pova 7 (LJ6), Pova 7 5G (LJ7), going all the way up to the premium segment with Pova 7 Pro 5G (LJ8) and Pova Curve 5G (LJ8k). The highest-end variant might be a Pova 7 Pro+ 5G (LJ9).
We are keeping tabs on all these devices, so if there are any new developments in this saga, you’ll be first to know through our daily new portal. So stay tuned.
