Tecno is cooking up the successor to its book-styled Phantom V Fold, aptly named the Phantom V2 Fold. After appearing on the IMEI database earlier, the device has graced the Geekbench benchmarking platform, spilling the beans on some crucial hardware details.

Listed on Geekbench with the model number AE10, the Phantom V2 Fold uses a motherboard codenamed XYZ-MARS. Delving into the processor configuration, we find a setup of four cores humming along at 1.8GHz, three cores sprinting at 2.85GHz, and a primary core hitting a brisk 3.20GHz.

The rumor mill strongly suggests that this foldable gem will pack MediaTek's Dimensity 9000+ chipset, the same SoC that fueled the Phantom V Fold. With 12GB of RAM onboard, it's safe to anticipate additional variants too. On the software front, the phone may debut with Android 14 straight out of the box.

The Geekbench info doesn’t stop here. The platform has put the new Tecno Fold mobile through its paces, and it churns out impressive results. The single-core test yielded a score of 1,273, while the multicore test returned 3,844 points.

While these details are enough to pique our curiosity, the rest of the Phantom V2 Fold's features remain enveloped in mystery. Fear not, though, as the coming months might bring more certifications, unveiling additional information about this foldable marvel.

Until replaced, the Tecno Phantom V Fold still holds the title of the most budget-friendly horizontal folding phone in the category. It features a 6.42-inch FHD+ main display and a spacious 7.85-inch interior screen with 2,000 x 2,296 pixels resolution, equipped with AMOLED LTPO panels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

The rear camera setup is impressive, featuring a 50M primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto unit, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. As Tecno marks another step into the foldable future, the anticipation for the Phantom V2 Fold is high. We eagerly await further details and the device's official unveiling soon.
