Tecno Camon 40 Premier has officially arrived in Pakistan and is now available for purchase at your nearest smartphone market and online store. It’s the most premium member in the lineup after the Camon 40 and 40 Pro and packs some of the most premium features Tecno has in store. Here’s a full rundown of everything it has to offer.
Specs-wise, it competes in the semi-flagship category. Camon 40 Premier is easily the most affordable Dimensity 8350 device in the country. Among the three phones in the family, this is the only one with a circular camera design. The thickness of this model is a bit higher than others at 7.7mm because of its flat sides, but it looks just as premium as the rest.
The handset will offer you a high-capacity battery at 5100mAh and a decent 70W charging brick to plug it in. There’s also a super bright 6.67” AMOLED on the front. It clocks at 144Hz with a sharp 1.5k resolution, which is a bit higher than your typical 1080p resolution on the Pro and non-Pro models.
The AMOLED used here has an LTPO variable refresh rate, so it uses the battery more efficiently. The brightness of this display peaks at around 1600 nits (HBM). We even have an Always-on-Display here, and the Tecno new Camon model brings a Gorilla Glass 7i for scratch and drop protection.
Durability features also include an IP68/IP69 rating, which means the phone is waterproof at up to 2m depth for 30 minutes and even resists high-pressure water jets. As far as reliability goes, the IP69 rating is probably the best you can get at this price with SGS 5-star drop protection.
Of course, belonging to the Tecno Camon 40 family, the Premier also has that one-tap FlashSnap feature and the dedicated orange button on the side. It will quickly open the camera and snap a photo at a moment’s notice. The camera setup on this device is also top-notch.
The front shooter is a 50 MP selfie sensor, and the Main is also a 50 MP camera with a Sony LYT 701 sensor under the lens. The circular tray houses two more lenses with a 50 MP Ultrawide unit and a 50 MP 3x periscope telephoto. A Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip handles the system, and we have an optical fingerprint ID under the screen.
