Korean’s next-gen Galaxy A-series lineup is finally headed to Pakistan. As per Samsung Pakistan’s official Facebook page, the mid-range Galaxy A71 is ‘coming soon’ to Pakistan, following the recently launched Samsung Galaxy A51. To recall, the model was released in January this year, and it brings the signature A-series design in tow.

You’re looking at a bezel-free display on Samsung Galaxy A71, with an in-display punch-hole camera embedded in the center. The Super AMOLED Infinity-O panel measures 6.7” and produces an FHD+ resolution. Also, part of this S-AMOLED display is an on-screen fingerprint scanner.

The rear-shell of Samsung A71 sports a smooth curved-edge design with a glossy, almost fractal-like design, and is offered in Prism Crush, Black, Pink, Blue, and Silver editions.

Further, you get a quad-camera housed on Galaxy A71, in a domino-shaped camera bump. The cameras are arranged in an L-shaped layout -- a design choice we’ve seen on all of Samsung’s recent A-series models. On the top left corner of the rectangular housing sits a 64-megapixel depth sensor, below it, is a 64-megapixel shooter, and finally a 12-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide camera. In the column adjacent to it, is a circular LED flash and a 5-megapixel macro cam. For shooting selfies, the front camera gives you 32MP to work with.

The internals under the hood are robust like most of the new A series handsets, scattered at different Samsung Prices. With an octa-core Snapdragon 730 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of native storage, you can expect some snappy performance from the A71. One can also pick a slightly less beefy variant that offers 6 GB of RAM.

At any rate, you can add to the storage up to 512 GB with a microSD card. To optimize the performance when you’re gaming, you can use Game Booster, which uses AI to give you better graphics and battery life.

Speaking of which, the Galaxy A71 is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery that you can power up with 25W fast-charging. The hardware runs on the latest Android-10-backed OneUI 2.0 with support for Samsung’s personal assistant Bixby.

We expect the 6GB variant to retail for 69,999 PKR in Pakistan, although the expected Samsung price remains yet to be confirmed.
