Samsung Galaxy A70e Leaked Renders Reveal an Infinity U display, Thick Bezels and a Rear Mounted Fingerprint Scanner

The third iteration to Samsung’s Galaxy A70 is in the works, and we’ve got our first look at it thanks to leaked early CAD renders. The first edition of this mid-range offering, the Galaxy A70, was followed up by a near-identical Samsung Galaxy A70s. And joining the A70 family is the most pocket-friendly of the trio, the Galaxy A70e. As is customary with the ‘e’ moniker, The company will be trading off hardware specifications to keep the Samsung price tag as low as possible.

The leaked renderings are published courtesy of OnLeaks and CompareRaja partnering up. Perhaps the first significant change you’ll notice is that the Samsung Galaxy A70e offers an Infinity-U display, with giant ugly bezels.

The massive forehead on the A70e makes you consider why Samsung even chose to include a dedicated ‘notch’ housing for the selfie camera instead of merely tucking it inside the forehead.

Because of its design, the A70e resembles entry-level members of Samsung’s next-gen A-series. The display here measures 6.1” and likely produces a modest HD+ resolution. The leak doesn’t detail whether the panel itself is AMOLED (case in point, the Galaxy A30) or standard LCD.

On the back, you get a triple-camera setup in an unimaginative vertically stacked look, coupled with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The manufacturer has lopped off the under-display fingerprint reader that was seen in the previous two editions. The variant seen in the renders showcases a glossy white look, and as per the source, the phone will debut in a Black color edition as well. You’re also looking at a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top bezel, a speaker grill, and a MicroUSB port on the bottom.

As for the Samsung Prices and detailed specifications, it’s nothing official yet, but rumor has it that a Snapdragon 675 chipset will power the upcoming Galaxy A70e.
