Galaxy A57 had its debut in March, and the same might happen again with the Samsung Galaxy A58 in 2027. But they are currently in the midst of getting it certified in some places. 3C in China just cleared the Galaxy A58 and gave up its charging speed in the process.
Phones in China need to get approved by 3C before they hit the market. The filings often include the subject device’s charging speeds. Galaxy A58 also got approved by the regulator. And in so doing, it revealed that it has a 15V DC input at 3A.
10V/4.5A is also a possible standard being used for PD delivery. We did the basic math. It turns out that the Galaxy A58 has 45W charging speed once again when you multiply these numbers. Galaxy A57 had the same charge rate for its 5000mAh battery this year. Stay informed about current smartphone rates with Samsung Mobile Price.
There’s no report predicting otherwise, but it’s possible the A58 will carry a bigger battery next year. We just saw a report that said the Galaxy A38 got the 20% capacity upgrade, so why not the Galaxy A58, which usually launches at the same time?
The two phones barely change the hardware. The whole camera setup on the Galaxy A58 is ported over from the A57. There was a report earlier that said the A58 might end up with a 50MP main camera. There will be a 12MP ultrawide next to a 5MP macro that barely gets used.
12MP selfie camera is also being reported for this newcomer. Not sure if the actual CMOS would change, but the camera resolutions didn’t. There’s potential for a new chip. And of course, they’ll switch to Android 17 and One UI 9 as the default OS. Keep watching the news for more updates.
