Redmi Note 7S Launched with 48 MP camera, Snapdragon 660 & 6.3-inch display

As expected, Xiaomi has unveiled a new Redmi mid-ranger in India today. Yes, we are talking about the new Redmi Note 7S, a smartphone that aims to bring the 48MP camera to everyone.


Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S copies the same notched 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display from the Redmi Note 7 along with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Gorilla Glass 5 is not just protecting the front but is also found on the rear, allowing you to have a full glass body with a metal frame.

At the heart of the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, combined with 3/4 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage. Both variants feature a hybrid SIM slot, where you can either insert the second SIM or add a microSD card.


4,000 mAh battery is provided that supports 10 W fast charge through the supplied charger. Please note that a Quick Charge 4 charger can be purchased separately to take advantage of the 18 W charging on the device. The operating system is Android 9 Pie customized with MIUI 10.

The dual camera setup on the back includes a 48MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture + a 5MP depth sensor. Complementing the photography department, additional support for PDAF, electronic image stabilization (EIS), vertical portrait mode and LED flash is also provided. There is a 13MP selfie snapper inside the notch, on the front.

Redmi Note 7S has a fingerprint scanner placed on the back and also have a 2D facial recognition system. In terms of connectivity instead, we find dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The 3GB/32GB variant of Redmi Note 7S is available at Rs. 10,999 (about 150 euros) or around 23,000 Pakistani Rupees.
