Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is Coming to the Global Market Soon; Immersive Gaming Powerhouse

Xiaomi released a Gaming Edition of the Redmi K40 in China recently. The Gaming Edition sold 100,000 units in the first minute of its announcement. It’s now headed to the global market, and Xiaomi has already registered it on Google Play Console.

The phone will be debuting as POCO F3 GT in some markets and Redmi K40 Gaming Edition in others. Since the certifications are already secured, the official launch shouldn’t be far off.

For our readers out of the loop, here is what the K40 Gaming Edition has to offer. At its heart, the phone has the Dimensity 1200 — currently the highest-end chip MediaTek makes. The platform is paired with 12GB of memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

It’s all powered by a 5065 mAh battery that fast-charges over a whopping 67W. The breakneck speed delivers a full top-up in just 42 minutes. A liquid cooling chamber keeps the K40 Gaming Edition from throttling when running resource-heavy games. Excellent addition to the Xiaomi price list.

The screen is a flat 6.67” OLED panel, featuring a hole punch and an even bezel all around for an immersive experience. Its precise 360Hz touch sampling and fluid 120Hz refresh rate ensure a responsive visual experience. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is toughened with Gorilla Glass 5 and an IP53 dust and splash rating.

The build has a subtle but futuristic mech design on the back. Plus, there are extra mappable buttons and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the shoulder. The speakers, tuned by JBL, provide a surround stereo effect.

Lastly, the optics system onboard features a 64MP f/1.7 camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP selfie lens. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition comes in Black, Gray, and Silver colorways.
