After several false leaks & rumors, The actual name of the Redmi's first top-of-the-range product has finally been revealed. After brand's GM, Lu Weibing had categorically stated that it won't be called the Redmi X, Now a new image has surfaced revealing the true name of the upcoming phone to be Redmi K20 Pro.
According to a leaked image showing the out of the box protective cover that comes with the smartphone, its name will be Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. Although not the most appealing of a name but its specifications and design can certainly make the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro one of the most desired smartphones of the year.
In addition to revealing its official name, the image also confirms some of its key specifications. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro will come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen that will offer a true bezel-less Fullview experience, all thanks to the 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.
At the heart of the device is the inevitable Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. With a triple rear camera at the back, its main shooter is now confirmed to be a 48-megapixel sensor accompanied by an ultrawide angle lens. Finally, the image also confirms the presence of a 4000mAh battery that also supports fast charging at 27W.
Rumors are that Xiaomi wants to unveil the Redmi K20 Pro on May 14th. On the other hand, we also have a confirmed Realme X launch on the 15th of May. With the competition becoming more and more intense, It has been a long time since we have seen the mid-range smartphone segment so agitated.
