Redmi A7 Pro Continues Global Rollout with 6000mAh Battery and HyperOS 3

More and more regions are starting to welcome the Redmi A7 Pro, but we have to admit, the progression has been slow. They released this device in Malaysia and a few other countries back in February. And today, Xiaomi deployed the A7 Pro in Italy. It could be the beginning of a wider release in Europe.

This newcomer has Android 16 and Hyper OS 3. It’s probably the cheapest Xiaomi phone you can get that has the new firmware, at least until they debut the base Redmi A7. Anyway, the design is a repeat. The pill camera deco is stretched a little bit to make room for the text beneath the lenses.

Redmi A7 Pro looks exactly the same as the older A5, besides the camera island, of course. It’s because the newcomer is built around the same 120Hz 6.9” IPS LCD. They made the panel slightly brighter. It hits 700nits now. But the resolution is capped at 720p HD+ again.

It’s the same case with the chipset. Xiaomi's latest A mobile is a low-end phone. They’ve strapped in a Unisoc T7250 chip within the device with a maximum of 8GB RAM. And its storage will go all the way up to 128GB. Black, Blue, and Green are the only three colors for this handset.

The second lens may be deceptive. There’s only one functioning lens here, which uses a 13MP outsole. It’s a downgrade from the 32MP main lens on the Redmi A5. The selfie shooter has not changed. It’s still an 8MP sensor inside a U-notch. Both sides can record 1080p 30FPS clips.

The cell capacity is higher than the last time. Redmi A7 Pro scaled up the battery to 6000mAh from 5200mAh. This could change average endurance to one and a half days. But the charging is still capped at 15W. We foresee even slower charging speeds than before.

They may have put a bigger battery on this model, but the thickness has actually gone down to just 8.15mm. Redmi A7 Pro’s base trim only has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and its official price is €129.90 (~PKR 42,000). Europe sometimes has higher sticker prices for electronics. It might actually be cheaper in other regions.
