Redmi 8A Dual Goes Official with Dual Cameras, 5,000 mAh Battery, Snapdragon 439 and low price

While Xiaomi is preparing for the launch of the new Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, Redmi took the Indian public by surprise by announcing the new cheap Redmi 8A Dual. According to the company, the device was designed for the public seeking good value for money.


Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual features the same plastic construction and shares a number of specifications with its predecessor, the Redmi 8A. The biggest difference in the new version is the addition of a second rear camera, something that can easily draw the attention of the consumer who seeks good photos.

Featuring 6.2 inches IPS LCD screen, the Redmi 8A Dual only has an HD+ resolution. However, its display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, while the P2i coating guarantees it to be water splash-proof. The design seems pretty much the same as the Xiaomi Redmi 8A.


Following the footsteps of its predecessor, the Redmi 8A Dual also has a Snapdragon 439 processor, which works in conjunction with 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. The internal storage is 32 GB, with the possibility of an expansion via MicroSD card.


Coming to the to rear cameras on the Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual, the main one has 13 MP and the second sensor is 2MP to guarantee the depth effect. you can also use the portrait mode with the 8 MP front selfie camera.


Finally, the new handset is powered by a powerful 5,000 mAh battery. And in addition, we have the presence of a USB-C port, fast charging of 18W, and also the reverse charge.

Announced first in the Indian market, the new Redmi 8A Dual will go on sale there on February 18th and then may start rolling out to other countries including Pakistan. The available colors are: white, blue and gray.  As far as the Xiaomi Prices are concerned, the 2 GB + 32 GB - variant costs some 6,499 INR or 14,000 Pakistani rupees while the 3 GB + 32 GB will retail for 7,000 INR or 15,200 Pakistani rupees.
