We’ve been hearing about Realme’s first 5G-wielding smartphone – the Realme X50 5G, for a while now, but finally, we’ve got some concrete details. Bearing the model number RMX2051, the purported 5G-enabled Realme has just been signed off by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, or CMIIT. The source which first sighted the certification reveals a handful of specs for the upcoming device. Here’s the scoop we’ve got.

Realme mobile has already announced that the 5G-supporting handset in question, will offer support for simultaneous dual-Wi-Fi acceleration and 5G connectivity. The model will rely on multiple 5G frequency bands for 5G connectivity, including n1, n41, n77, and 79, promised the Realme Product Direction, Wei Derek. And of course, it will run on both NSA/SA bands.

In simpler terms, the X50 5G will let you use Wi-Fi and 5G at the same time, allowing for better network speeds and stability. Dual-Wi-Fi means that the phone will also let you use 2.4 and 5 GHz channels for Wi-Fi simultaneously as well.

Networking details aside, we’ve also received confirmation that Realme X50 5G will pack a 6.6-inch display, with a 64 MP Sony-manufactured IMX686 sensor mounted on the rear (more on that in a few).

Previous leaks point to a pill-style twin-camera on the front, housed inside a punch-hole cut-out. Official channels have revealed that the phone will run on the much-anticipated Snapdragon 765G chipset. Further, you’re looking at 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charging support for a yet-to-be-identified battery.

Rumors suggest that the 6.6-inch display on X50 will be LCD IPS, while others specify a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen. At any rate, the 64-megapixel Sony sensor is to be combined with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, alongside a pair of 2-megapixel sensors.

The dual-front-facing setup includes a 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel selfie shooter combination. We’ll have confirmation once the X50 5G makes its way to TENNA listings. The phone is to debut with a ‘Lite’ Realme X50 Youth Edition, and it might be officially unveiled on January 5, 2020.
