Realme V5 5G Benchmarked and Featured in Hands-on Photos, Has the New Dimensity 720 Inside

Earlier last week, Realme's announcement for its newest upper-mid-range V-series was met with a set of press renders detailing the device's design and build. And today — in a development following that story — the AnTuTu benchmarking scores and chipset specifics for the upcoming Realme V5 were leaked by a source out of China. Not to mention two hands-on photos showcasing the device, as seen on Weibo.

The live shots reveal a hole punched in the corner of the phone's display — which itself is bound inside narrow bezels. Reportedly, you're looking at a 6.5" IPS LCD panel that delivers an FHD+ resolution and has a 16MP front-facing camera embedded in the hole-punch. The front-panel design is anything but extraordinary, though it reaches a 90Hz refresh rate.

The rear-facing design is far more captivating. Available in three different finishes — one inspired by the Honor 30 Pro and the other two featuring the duo-tone look we see in the still-recent Realme C11 and C15. The former is painted in a glossy, polished silver with Realme's branding running across the pane in giant, bold lettering. And the latter two wear reflective cyan and blue gradients.

The camera island — rectangular in shape — is jet-black black, but its contrast against the silver and blue shades isn't the most aesthetic. It has a quad-camera array inside that uses a 48MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a pair of 2MP portrait sensors. Again, your average tried and tested cookie-cutter configuration.

Now for the internals. Based on an alleged screenshot of V5's benchmarking scores making rounds on the web, the Realme V5 5G (or RMX2111) managed 301,380 points. The CPU and GPU reached a score of 96,385 and 73,539, respectively. By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy A71 averages a score of 266,581.

MediaTek's Dimensity 720 platform, a 5,000 mAh battery (augmented with 30W fast charge), 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage lie underneath the hood. It launches on August 3 and Gizmochina expects the phone to start from CNY 1,699 (~40,000 PKR).
