Flying solo for six months after landing in Pakistan with just one option, the Realme Note 60x, has now finally been joined by a new Variant. If you are willing to shell out a few extra bucks for a slightly beefier memory, the news is for you. Note 60x 12GB model has just been thrown out by Realme with an improved 12GB* RAM, the storage capacity, however, remains the same at 64 GB.
The 12GB* Dynamic RAM advertised by Realme is a blend of 4GB physical RAM and 8GB of virtually expanded memory. The previous Note 60x model only had 3GB of physical RAM, which caused it to struggle with background apps and multitasking.
According to the announcement, Note 60x with 8GB* RAM will continue to retail at Rs 20,999. Meanwhile, the newer 12GB* variant will cost Rs 22,999 in Pakistan, which is pretty convenient and well worth an upgrade if you are a power user. Those who purchase the new model will get a 24-month Industry-exclusive warranty and Rs 5,000 free insurance.
For a sub-entry-level device, the new Realme Note 60x 4GB Variant is surprisingly well-made. There’s an IPS 6.74” display on the front with HD+ resolution and a notch cutout for the selfie camera. The best feature of this screen is a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s buttery smooth when you use it.
It’s among the most affordable devices from Realme, so expect modest performance from its SoC. We get a Unisoc T612 engine inside this handset, which is reasonable at the price point. You can either get 3GB or 4GB of physical RAM with this device, paired with 64GB storage.
If you feel the storage is limiting, the Note 60x brings an SD card slot, so you can make extra room for more files if you want. 4GB RAM and Unisoc T612 engine are powerful enough to handle Note 60x’s Android 14 and Realme UI 5 system with insignificant lag.
Power-wise, it has a 5000mAh cell that plugs into a 10W charger, same as the Realme Note 60. It has an ArmorShell body for drop protection, and it’s IP54 watertight and dustproof for maximum reinforcement. The rear Main camera is 8MP, and the selfies are taken by an even smaller 5MP shooter. At Rs 22,999, the Note 60x may be one of the only few devices in the market with a 90Hz refresh rate, ArmorShell protection, and an IP54 rating.
