Realme's about to launch a record-shattering device, and they've been teasing it constantly on Chinese social media. Dubbed Realme GT Neo 5, the new phone aims to break Redmi's 210W record for fast charging. Via teasers, the chain has unveiled multiple key specs, design graphics, and a new exclusive color. Have a look.

Realme GT Neo 5 is inching closer to launch. In one of the chain's recent social media posts, they teased the phone's debut timeline. The phone should launch in China on February 9th. Expect the phone's Global arrival at the MWC 2023 event.

In teasing the device, Realme showcased a new purple variant of GT Neo 5 with unique design elements and shared some key specs. Users will find the phone embedded with an RGB ring light next to the camera module. The black accent extends from the left to the right side, enveloping the island and the glowing LED.

Apart from those gaming phone aesthetics, the realme GT Neo 5 shows real potential in terms of the specs. Battery tech, being its highlight feature, deserves to get mentioned first. With its 240W charging speed, the company claims plugging this Realme new 5G model for 30 seconds will allow a whole hour of video watch time.

Whopping 240W charging speed comes with some heating and life-cycle concerns. Realme says the battery inside can sustain 1600 cycles of charging and discharging, which is way above the current industry standard.

So far, Realme has teased GT Neo 5 with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, 16Gigs of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage, a 6.74-inch OLED 144Hz display, 1.5K resolution, a 50MP primary camera, and a 16MP selfie snapper. Its additional features will likely include an IR blaster.
