Realme 5i is scheduled for launch in Pakistan today but reports for its next iteration are already pouring in. Realme’s next significant affordable offering -- the Realme 6i, has just been spotted buried inside FCC listings. In addition to the live product images, the listing also details a handful of specifications.

Bearing the model number RMX2040, the Realme 6i will be succeeding the Realme 5i, so you’re looking at a similar design language (more or less). The quad-camera is set up in a vertical layout.

The camera bump sits on the top left corner of the 6i, with the rear-facing fingerprint scanner flanking it.  A substantial upgrade in terms of camera performance is a preeminent difference with this iteration and it would be really interesting to see how realme prices the upcoming handset.

The Realme 6i will ditch the 12-megapixel primary lens for a 48-megapixel shooter and likely combine it with a pair of 2-megapixel depth-assist and macro sensors. The variant seen in the live images sports a white semi-glossy look. Out front, the 6.52-inch display features a drop-notch, so not an appreciate upgrade there. The screen probably still produces an HD+ resolution, but there’s no confirmation as of now.

The build has the dimensions of 164.4mm x 75.4mm x 9.0mm and weighs 195 grams. The image also showcases a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a type-c port, and a speaker grille. The Realme 6i will carry over the 5,000 mAh as per the source who leaked the live images, along with a shot of the charging brick that points to 18W fast-charging support.

The model will run on Oppo’s latest ColorOS 7, but the SoC details are thin on the ground. At any rate, since FCC has signed off the device, it’s official launch shouldn’t be far off.
