Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 4G Benchmarked Ahead of Launch; A Possible Redmi Note Rehash

POCO dropped the M4 Pro 5G in the fall last year. It’s a rehash of a 5G Redmi Note phone. And POCO is soon following up on the M4 Pro with an LTE edition. Official teasers aren’t out yet, but the pre-release benchmarks were published on Geekbench.

You can locate the Geekbench 5 listing for the Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 4G under the model number “2201117PG.” In addition to the raw benchmark scores, the scorecard contains some system specs. The MediaTek Helio G96 is the engine inside the M4 Pro 4G. 6GB of memory and Android11 x MIUI rounds off the chipset.

The POCO M4 Pro 4G manages 517 points when running single-core tests. And when engaging all cores, the phone hits 1852 points. Rumor has it that the upcoming POCO phone is a rebranded Redmi Note 11S. But, the POCO M4 Pro 4G will be mildly redesigned (since POCO rehashes often are.) We expect a new paint job. Plus, an NFC chip for cardless payments.

The new Poco 4G mobile rocks a quad-camera system featuring a 108MP image sensor. Its display is a 6.43” AMOLED panel that peaks at 1080P resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits of brightness.

Everything runs on a 5000 mAh battery and 33W rapid charging. Stereo speakers deliver surround sound. And an IP53 rating protects the M4 Pro 4G from dust and water.
