Chinese brand Poco is honored for making stunning products at shockingly cheap rates. Poco's M-series is one of them. It features handsets like the Poco M4 Pro that bear pocket-friendly price tags while going toe-to-toe with every mid-tier phone.

One of those handsets, the Poco M4 5G, was debuted by the company about three months ago but couldn't make its way to the global market. Poco is about to launch this phone globally at an online event on August 15. The launch will go live on Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter.

If you are about to treat yourself to a new mid-tiered phone, keep hold and wait for Poco M4 5G to hit the market. This phone has specs that no company dares to offer in this price segment. Take a look.

The Poco M4 5G's screen is a decently sized 6.58-inch — IPS LCD with 1080p FHD+ resolution. A small dewdrop notch on the panel. And it supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Bezels around the screen are razor thin. The chin under the screen is almost uniform, which is surprising for such an inexpensive device.

Flipping Poco M4 5G around, you will be mesmerized by the camera design. There are two lenses housed inside M-series signature black accent spread across width-wise. One lens has a 50MP sensor, and the other has a 2MP depth sensor inside at a competitive Xiaomi mobile price. For selfies, you can use the 8MP snapper on the front.

Under the hood, the dimensity 700 chipset gives the horsepower the M4 5G needs to run. And performance only gets smoother using LPDDR4X 6GB RAM, with UFS 2.2-type 128GB of storage. There's a base variant (4GB + 64GB) if you want to go cheaper.

The phone is IP52 rated, effective against dust and vertical water drops. The phone energizes using a 5,000mAh cell tailored to charge with 18W brick. Extra features include an IR blaster, side-facing thumb scanner, ambient light sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The base price starts at ~PKR 37,000.
