Poco M4 5G debuted about three months ago but couldn't reach the global shops. So Poco planned to hold an event on August 15th to get this smartphone globally shipped. The live event has come and gone, and Poco's latest feature-packed handset, M4 5G, is now purchase-ready in several countries.

The phone's design is the first thing you will notice right out of the box, it's a step up from the Poco M4 Pro 5G. There's a black accent on the back spread across horizontally. It is a housing for the bi-lens camera and "POCO" branding. The phone's body fuse the flat edges with a chamfered back plate for a comfortable grip.

Moving to the front, you'll see a 6.58-inch IPS-capacitive LCD screen rocking a solid 1080p display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Corning Gorilla Glass protects the LCD. The phone caps at a respectable 500 nits brightness.

Poco M4 5G's internals are the place where it shines. As the name dictates, the latest 5G Xiaomi mobile has a 5G processor. Quite impressive for a device this cheap. It's running MediaTek's Dimensity 700 chipset, with an integrated Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. There's a fast UFS 2.2 storage with 128 GB of space. A standard 6GB RAM is allocated for multitasking here. There's an option for 4GB RAM + 64GB of storage if you want to go cheaper.

Poco M4 has a dual camera setup on the back. The company has paired a 13MP f/2.2 (wide) camera with a 2 MP f/2.4 sensor for depth mapping. The rear camera can record 1080p videos at a 30 frames rate. Selfie cam lives inside the drop notch on the screen.

A Fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side here. Poco M4 5G energize using 5000mAh cell and supports 18W charge speed. The latest price list addition, Xiaomi Poco M4 5G, runs Android 12 x MIUI 13 by default. Official prices are not confirmed yet. Retail shops will start selling the phones from August 18th in the Asian regions.
