Each year, OPPO launches multiple budget contenders which remain exclusive to the Chinese market, and among them is the June released A77 5G. However, this time, the manufacturer plans to change the pace. Based on recent breaks, users can expect A77 5G’s successor, the OPPO A78 5G, to land in several Asian regions.

An OPPO phone bearing the model number CPH2483 is doing rounds on the internet. It appeared on IMEI and Bluetooth SIG certification recently, immediately followed by the FCC database appearance, indicating a launch closing in fast. In the latest development, the model CPH2483 got spotted on IMDA, revealing the marketing name “A78 5G.”

Singapore’s IMDA link doesn’t reveal anything interesting besides connectivity features, 5G, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS. From the month-old FCC listing, we’ve discovered that the phone will measure 163.8mm in length and 75.04mm in width. Similar dimensions describe a phone with a 6.56-inch screen. Whether it’s AMOLED or IPS is still a mystery.

Bluetooth SIG, another certification, indicated that OPPO's brand new model, the A78 5G uses BT 5.3 standard for wireless connections. With 5G bands N5 / N7 / N38/ N44 / N66, and dual-band (2.4GHz - 5GHz) Wi-Fi, OPPO A78 5G will run ColorOS 13 operating system. Under the hood, it will have a 5,000mAh juicer rated for OPPO’s 33W rapid charging.

Certifications have revealed minute details about the phone. The remaining stats on A78 5G, the camera, the CPU, design renders, storage configurations, refresh rate, etc., are still under wraps. With an appearance on multiple certification platforms, it’s safe to assume that the newcomer, unlike its parent, will not remain exclusive to China. Its ancestor, the OPPO A76 4G's Price in Pakistan is Rs. 47,999.
