Oppo A5 2020 with Quad Cameras & 5,000mAh battery to reportedly launch Soon

A few days ago we reported on Oppo A9 2020 coming real soon. But according to a local source, it won't be all alone. The Chinese manufacturer is also reportedly working on another handset called A5 2020. Both of these handsets are expected to launch soon in Pakistan and this arguably is exciting news for fans, awaiting the new A-series.

OPPO A5 2020 is an upgrade to its predecessor the A5, launched last year in 2018. And as per the source, the new handset is landing soon in Pakistan, packing some major improvements. The upcoming smartphone will be rocking a 6.5-inch FHD+ screen, with the front-facing camera housed in a waterdrop notch, as opposed to the last year’s A5 which featured a 6.2-inch HD display and a wedge notch.

As most tech enthusiasts know, Oppo is known for its impressive lineup of camera-centric phones, and from the looks of it, A5 2020 is no exception. Multiple sources (including early renders) suggest that the phone will be equipped with a quad-camera setup. You’re looking at a 12-megapixel primary shooter, along with an 8-megapixel lens, and a pair of 2-megapixel lenses – most likely depth sensors. It’s an improvement over the dual-camera setup, however, the front-facing camera is tipped to be the same 8-megapixel sensor.

The source also predicts that the upcoming OPPO A5 2020 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 processor running a Color OS 6 flavored Android Pie, coupled with 4 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of native storage.

Interestingly enough, the Oppo A9 2020 is also expected to be driven by the same processor as A5 2020, which could mean that their features overlap. The same SoC aside, the A5 will also draw power from a 5000 mAh battery and this is now confirmed by a credible local source.

The A5 2020 will be available in two different color variants, namely: Dazzling White and Mirror Black and the price will fall somewhere around 35,000 PKR. There’s no conclusive information on the release date yet, apart from likely being launched this month. we are trying to dig out more details, as soon as we have something solid, we'll update you right away.
