OnePlus 13s Headed for Global Launch; Promises Compact Design & Flagship Power

The company unveiled its flagship OnePlus 13 and 13 Pro way back in November 2024 and just recently added a OnePlus 13T to the collection. While that “T” branded variant is only exclusive to China, it would seem that the brand plans to rename the device “OnePlus 13s” in order to deploy the very same compact handset in the global market.

There’s no launch date yet, but the company did tease the OnePlus 13s for a major Asian market. The specialty seems to be its small size and top specs, similar to what the OnePlus 13T offers in China. Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming globally awaited OnePlus 13s.

The device is compact with a 6.32” AMOLED display on the front. This panel has an LTPO variable refresh rate at 120Hz with 1600 nits max brightness. There are three different HDR modes here: Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid. The compact display looks even sharper with a 1.5K resolution.

Out of the box, the OnePlus 5G new model brings Android 15 Oxygen OS 15, which runs on the industry’s best Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. There’s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for the fastest data transfers, not to mention an Adreno 830 iGPU to help with gaming.

The cameras on the back are a 50 MP duo with a standard camera and a telephoto 2x sensor. It even has a color spectrum sensor, Dolby HDR recording, and a 16 MP selfie shooter within the display. For security, you get an optical fingerprint ID on the front.

OnePlus 13s has an IP65 water and dust resistance rating, which only saves it from mild splashes. Of course, there’s no 3.5mm audio port or an SD card slot on this device. It does, however, have an infrared sensor embedded on the top, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and all the latest bells and whistles for connectivity.

The phone should have a dual-speaker system. Its battery, a Si/C Li-Ion 6260 mAh cell, and the charging speed are rated at 80W through a wired charger. Sadly, the phone will be missing out on wireless charging. All these specs belonging to the OnePlus 13T will ultimately be featured inside the OnePlus 13s as well. The company has already teased the 13s, and it should be coming out soon. So stay tuned for the phone’s global launch any day now.
