More Huawei P40 Pro Renders Spotted; May Arrive Early with a Total of Seven Cameras

Huawei is still a few months away from officially launching the Huawei P40 lineup, and so far, it’s shaping up to be an exciting flagship iteration. We’ve already got a look at the early CAD renders for the P40 duo, and the live images of its case have also cropped up, hinting at the design language of Huawei’s next big reveal. Admittedly, these renders lacked details and failed to showcase the highlight features of the purported P40. But thanks to another leaked round of mockups, we now get a clearer peek at Huawei P40 Pro.

The renders pictured below have been published courtesy of 9TechEleven. As WhatMobile noted in an earlier post, Huawei has already shaved the side-bezels nearly off with this year’s P30 Pro with its rounded edges.

The P40 Pro will carry over that curved edge-to-edge display. But this time around, Huawei is trimming off the chin and the forehead too, in favor of a display that curves around all four corners. This quad-edge front panel affords the phone more screen real-estate and a higher screen-to-body ratio.

You can also spot a pill-style punch-hole cutout housing a twin camera setup – one of which is your average selfie shooter, and the second one, an ultrawide-angle sensor. Speculation has it that the display measures up to 6.7 inches, but at the same time P40 will retain its predecessor’s dimensions.

On the back of the P40 Pro, you’re looking at a Penta-camera package, nestled inside a domino-shaped bump. The modules are arranged in an L-shaped design, alongside an LED flash. Additional camera details are thin on the ground, but earlier leaks point to a periscope shooter that allows for 10X optical zoom, alongside a ToF sensor. The remaining three lenses are a primary shooter, an ultrawide angle sensor, and finally a macro sensor.

As for the internals, we get a 5G-enabled Kirin 990 chipset, paired with 8 GB/ 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB/ 256 GB of native storage. And of course, this hardware will run on an Android-10-based EMUI 10. If Huawei’s previous launch schedule is anything to go by, the Chinese smartphone maker might take the wraps off the P40 line around 27th March carrying an interesting Huawei Price.
