The Itel A100 series isn’t exactly new. In fact, they already launched the A200 series in February to replace it. So we weren’t counting on seeing another device from the old lineup. But since they unveiled the Itel A100 Pro today, we might as well talk about this model. Itel usually brings these kinds of devices to Pakistan, so it’s worth a look.
The phone came to one of the Asian markets. That makes sense since the company’s major phone supply is in Asia and Africa. Itel A100 Pro is running a Unisoc T7100 chip. We haven’t heard of this platform in a while. Believe it or not, this is an eight-core setup with a peak 1.6GHz clock speed.
The efficiency cores on the T7100 are 1.2GHz. This is a very weak processor. It does, however, have LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage, so that’s something. They draw the line at 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, though. There’s no other memory option for the Itel A100 Pro.
Storage can be expanded with an SD card. Itel latest A model doesn’t fully replicate iPhone 17 Pro’s design, but some elements still match. There’s a solo 8MP rear camera here. The selfie camera is hidden in the notch, and it’s a 5MP resolution sensor only.
Android 15 Go Edition on the Itel A100 Pro is actually a blessing in disguise, since the hardware is not potent enough for a full bloated OS. They were considerate enough to custom-build a Dynamic Bar UI that hovers around the screen notch.
Speaking of, that screen you see on the front is a 6.6” IPS LCD with only HD+ resolution. It’s not just a standard LCD. They actually overclocked it to a 90Hz refresh rate. If it wasn’t made clear before, the Itel A100 Pro is acutely a 4G LTE handset with VoLTE.
There’s an IR blaster here, which is a rare find on sub-$100 phones. The build is shockproof and MIL-STD-810 certified. And it even has a fingerprint reader on the side. The newcomer has a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging. The MSRP of this Itel A100 Pro is $95 (~PKR 26,000).
