Infinix Smart 7 has joined this month's launch roster. Transsion group is planning to unveil this budget-chaser on February 22nd, and they've also made an official announcement for it. With the launch this close, it's needless to say that some teasers are out.
Teasers on Twitter are nothing fancy; they showcase Smart 7's unique design in different colorways and the launch date. However, a dedicated microsite has gone live on an overseas e-commerce website to reveal some of the phone's specs. Additionally, a press release has confirmed its price. Here's an overview.
Infinix Smart 7 has a signature design, nothing as we've seen before. Its backplate has a gradient color shift from top to bottom and a large camera module in the top left corner. In addition to being a stylistic choice, the wave-like pattern has a protective effect against bacteria and, as advertised, has a 99% antibacterial rate.
Design aside, in terms of hardware; Smart 7 is pure mediocrity. The screen is 6.6 inches with HD+ resolution and a drop notch that hides a 5MP selfie unit. The brand new addition to Infinix price catalog shoots portraits using a 13MP + AI camera primary camera with Dual-LED flash.
On the memory front, users will find a combo of 4GB physical RAM and 3GB virtual, adding to a total of 7 GB. The ROM it packs is 64GB extendable via microSD card. It is unclear what engine Smart 7 has, but it should be an upgrade over Smart 6's Helio A22.
To step into the spotlight, the Smart 7 holds a superior 6000mAh battery rechargeable via a Type C port. Moreover, the phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock, all at a minimal cost of 90 USD or ~23,500PKR. We can't confirm if other countries will receive it, but the date above is for the Indian launch. In Pakistan, the predecessor of the above model is readily available. Infinix Smart 6 retail price in Pakistan is a bit north of PKR 38,000.
