Infinix Note Edge’s teaser spree was rather short-lived. But the phone is now official, and it has the same Dimensity 7100 chip that was promised by those earlier leaks. They put a lot of thought into its design and made it look premium. It may be their thinnest 6500mAh build yet.
You cannot put the Infinix Note Edge in the slim class, like the iPhone Air or Tecno Spark Slim. Still, it’s not too shabby with a 7.2mm chassis thickness. It will depend on the market, but the battery is either 6500mAh or 6150mAh on the Note Edge. The power pack status is all market-relevant.
Anyway, either of those batteries has 2000 cycles. They say it’s tested for up to 80% health retention even after six years of use. Plus, it only takes 62 minutes to charge the Note Edge from 1% to 100%. The max input it supports is 45W, which is standard on Infinix phones in this class.
This is the phone that brings its first official (out of the box) Android 16 XOS 16 operating system. And yes, they had teased 3 years of OS support, and Note Edge now confirmed it again. Five years of Security patches will also be seen down the road, but it won’t be as frequent as Samsung’s updates. The Note Edge got cleared for an IP65 rating, by the way. Minor water splashes won’t damage the handset. This newcomer has an apparent dual-lens setup, though there’s only a single functional 50MP ½” type sensor. There’s a ring LED alert indicator right next to it.
You can see an out-of-place, accented button on the frame here. That’s supposed to be a customizable key. You can use it to trigger AI Folax Assist on the Note Edge. That curved screen you see here is actually an OLED 6.78” panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2800Hz touch rate.
The bezels are really narrow (1.87mm). Its peak brightness is 4500nits. JBL-tuned dual speaker setup is laid down inside the Note Edge. The Orange Color that was touted before is not among the phone’s color options. The Infinix Note Edge has Lunar Titanium, Silk Green, Stellar Blue, or Shadow Black colors. Its Dimensity 7100 chip is bound with 8GB RAM, and the starter price is $200 (~PKR 55,000).
