Infinix is taking its slim phone ambitions to the next level. Following the already thin Hot 50 Pro Plus at 6.8mm, the brand’s upcoming Hot 60 Pro Plus is set to break new ground with a body under 6mm thick. If the claims hold up, it could become the slimmest curved-screen smartphone on the market.
The ever-reliable source Ice Universe gave away some hands-on images of the device to show how thin the Hot 60 Pro+ might actually be. In one of the images, you can even see the phone’s thickness being measured with the calipers, and the result is downright impressive.
This newcomer will measure 5.95mm in profile, one of the slimmest models ever seen, as far as curved screen devices go. As you may know already, Samsung has already conquered the flat device category with a 5.85mm Galaxy S25 Edge, and Apple might try to surpass this by introducing a 5.5mm iPhone 17 Air soon.
For now, the leaker showed the new Infinix Hot model’s design compared to a standard iPhone 15, and it looks razor-thin with possibly a triple camera setup on the back, slightly protruding out of the body. It’s also possible the company may be going for a new design this year for its ultra-thin device.
Infinix has entered the sub-6mm smartphone race, but it takes a different approach compared to the others. Companies like Samsung and Apple are experimenting with their flagship devices, trying to make thinner alternatives to the existing phones.
Infinix chose its entry-level Hot series to represent its innovations in the slim smartphone category. Last year’s Hot 50 Pro Plus was widely available and cheap enough for most users to buy. It even landed in Pakistan and quickly became a hit.
The Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus was super thin at 6.8mm with a curved AMOLED, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1080p resolution. Even at this thickness, the handset brought a 5000mAh battery, rechargeable at 33W. It had a 10W reverse wired and a bypass charging feature at its disposal.
Of course, the entry-level Infinix phone only came with a Helio G100 chip, and it supported the latest Android 14 at the time. Expect Hot 60 Pro+ to bring minor upgrades across all the categories. This device will be launching any day now, so stay tuned for further updates.
