The recently Launched Huawei P30 series is specifically designed to bring mobile photography to a whole new level. The P30 Pro has already got tested by DxOMark, a leading source of independent image quality measurements and ratings. Featuring four rear sensors, the smartphone makes its place at the top of the list with 112 points, breaking all the previous records.
Huawei was already leading in the camera department with the P20 pro first and then with Huawei Mate 20 Pro that came in October last year. Until the Samsung Galaxy S10+ arrived in February 2019 to make a tie, receiving a similar score of 109.
But that tie did not hold up long enough for Samsung. Huawei P30 Pro snatches the title again with 112 points, the highest score ever in the portal's history. The second place is tied to the Galaxy s10+, Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro. Seems like the rest of the manufacturers have to get it together if they want to tighten up to the Chinese roller coaster in the near future.
The most amazing enhancements to the P30 series are undoubtedly its low-light shooting capabilities in combination with a high-end optical zoom. Especially the Huawei P30 Pro was praised for its 50X zoom and the precise details. Exposure is always in place and the resulting images are of high quality even in the dim lighting conditions. Autofocus is being described as one of the best in the smartphone world as it is very fast yet precise.
Usually, the phone's LED flash lowers the picture quality further, but according to DxOMark, the P30 Pro manages to use it quite well. In addition to the third camera, the phone also has a separate ToF camera to measure the depth, taking the bokeh effect to a whole new level.
Overall Huawei P30 Pro scored 112 points in the test. In the photos department, the phone performed at a record high, catching 119 points, while the video scored 97 points.
